- Wemby is a clear and easy one, but not the best prospect since Lebron. Obviously incredible potential, but Luka was a far superior player entering the draft (more dominant against significantly better competition). Jump shot isnt what people make it out to be and concerns about strength, somebody that size staying healthy. My prediction is that never strong enough to be a DPOY, never efficient enough to be a #1 offensive weapon, and misses an above average time due to injury. Think his odds of superstardom go up qutie a bit landing with Pop. Still most likely outcome isnt true top 5 Giannis like player, but rather more of a co #1 on a championship team a la Anthony Davis.
- Scoot is even more overrated. Scoot posted way below average efficiency in the G League. Sometimes guys do that like Derrick Rose at Memphis, and their skill eventually catches their athletic pop. However, there are more Emmanual Mudiay types than people seem to remember.
- At least Scoot was playing against grown men. I want nothing to do with either of the Thompson twins. They were surprisingly not dominant playing against high schoolers as 20 year olds. One of the toughest evaluations ever based off the environment they played in. I honestly think I might have them too high, but am intimdated by being off the market even more than this.
- Leonard Miller at 33 might be my favorite pick of the draft. He actually put up better numbers on the same team as Scoot. His style is unorthdox, but that awkwardness is how guys like Haliburton slip to 11, or Tari Eason gets to 17.
- We shall see what happens with Cam Whitmore’s health, but getting him at 20 is awesome regardless. He easily could become this draft MPJ or Bol that wound up slipping way too far cause of injury concerns.
